HCC-ASPIRE Check Presentation

On August 1st, AAYGC members Jeffrey, Natasha, Shaurya, and Summer, attended the Houston Community College Board of Trustee meeting to present the grant check of $5,000 to its Asian Scholarship Program (HCC-ASPIRE). Jeffrey and Shaurya represented AAYGC and spoke in front of the board of trustees. Jeffrey introduced AAYGC and our commitment to supporting the Asian community in the Houston area by donating almost $40,000 and volunteering 1,000 plus hours in the past four years. Shaurya expressed our admiration of the impact that HCC ASPIRE has on the community. The mission of ASPIRE is to recognize and provide financial support for the educational enrichment of HCC Asian students and faculty and to support activities that highlight Asian culture. We are very proud of our members for their continuing efforts to make a difference in our community! Great job!!
