AAYGC Highlight - Madeline

Madeline (Maddy) Hsu

We are extremely proud to highlight another AAYGC teen leader, Madeline Hsu. Her work is important, especially during this pandemic, when many students struggle with less learning resources. 

Madeline is a co-president of LimitlessMinds; a non-profit organization founded by Houston teens that offers free tutoring service for Kindergarten through eighth-grade students. They conduct the sessions using different platforms such Google Hangouts, Zoom, FaceTime, and the like. LimitlessMinds helps out the students with a wide variety of subjects that also includes foreigh languages and coding. They currently have over 180 tutees and 125 tutors for the Houston Chapter but they are still to have more tutors.

When asked what impact LimitlessMinds does she like to see, Maddy responded: “An impact that I am hoping to see of LimitlessMinds is being able to effectively assist those that are less fortunate achieve success. As a free virtual tutoring service, we hope to help out anyone that needs assistance in all kinds of subjects ranging from math to coding—especially during the ongoing pandemic. The mission of LimitlessMinds is to help students continue learning despite the coronavirus pandemic by providing a 1-on-1 tutoring service to K-8 students.” She also believes that doing anything that comes from one’s heart and purpose can be of positive impact to their community. That could be ranging from simply helping the next door neighbor with their groceries or cleaning up the neighboring park.
